1. Who We Are
Rooost is a B2B SaaS tool that helps teams turn user research data into chat-ready personas. We're based in the USA and operate under US laws.
2. Using Rooost
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rooost. You are responsible for your account and all activity under it. Please use Rooost responsibly and legally.
3. Your Data & Responsibility
You own the data you upload to Rooost.
Important Note on Personally Identifiable Information (PII):
While Rooost uses automated processes to help detect and scrub personal information from research data, it's ultimately your responsibility to ensure that no PII (such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, etc.) is uploaded. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee all PII will be removed.
Rooost assumes no liability if some PII is not scrubbed.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, offensive, or infringing content
- Use Rooost to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Attempt to reverse engineer or hack our services
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.
5. Cancelling Your Account
You can cancel your account at any time. Upon cancellation:
- You may request immediate deletion of your data.
- Otherwise, we will delete your data after 90 days, unless required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes (like fraud prevention or backups).
6. Service Availability
Rooost is provided as is. We do our best to keep the service up and running reliably but do not guarantee uptime or uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features at any time.
7. Third-Party Services
Rooost relies on third-party services to help deliver our product. These include:
- OpenAI and Pinecone (for persona data processing) – We use these services to process your uploaded research and create chat-ready personas.
- MongoDB (for data storage) – We securely store your uploaded research and related data in MongoDB.
- Clerk (for account management and authentication) – Clerk manages signups, logins, and secure user account access.
- Vercel (for hosting and performance monitoring) – Our website and app are hosted on Vercel. As part of hosting, Vercel may process certain technical and usage data (such as IP addresses and site interactions) to help deliver and optimize Rooost.
- Resend (for email delivery) – We use Resend to send important emails related to your account and Rooost usage (like notifications, updates, and password resets).
Each of these providers has its own terms and privacy policies. While we choose reputable partners and they are required to protect your data, we aren't responsible for outages or issues caused by these services.
8. Limitation of Liability
Rooost is not liable for damages arising from your use (or inability to use) the service, including any issues related to uploaded data or missed PII.
